Halftime: Oregon 34, Washington State 24

The pink helmets donned by Oregon may have stolen the show to begin with, but Washington State’s offense has been the bigger story in the first half. Peyton Manning, er, Connor Halliday (319 yards, 2 TD, 1 INT), is absolutely shredding Oregon’s vaunted secondary. What’s more impressive is that he’s doing it with out any type of rushing attack to provide balance (-5 rushing yards). Marcus Mariota and Oregon have also been spectacular offensively, as the team has accounted for 483 total yards and 5 TD’s.

Turning point: With Oregon up just 27-21 after a strip/sack/TD, Thomas Tyner went 66 yards to the house on the Ducks’ next offensive possession. A field goal to end the half by Andrew “Janikowski” Furney made the final first half score 34-24.

You can bet Nick Allioti is giving his defense an earful in the locker room right now.
