The Climate Justice League is a student organization looking to provide more water filters on campus in order to eliminate plastic water bottle usage. The student organization launched its “Take Back the Tap” campaign, which focuses on educating students about the excessive waste of bottled water and the advantages of using water containers.

The Climate Justice League has run into administrative problem in its efforts citing contractual issues between the University of Oregon and Pepsi. Climate Justice League Representative Megan Gleason states, “Pepsi is trying to get a contract with housing right now. That would be a huge contract and Pepsi really wants this contract, but they hate that we are trying to get rid of bottled water.”

The Global Justice League will continue its campaign despite these roadblocks in order eliminate plastic bottle use on campus.
