Eugene Ore. – This past Saturday, January 26th the EMU hosted the annual Dance Marathon to raise money for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospital in Eugene. University of Oregon students danced for twelve hours and listened to families speak about the affects the Children’s Miracle Network has had on their lives. Though a lower turnout was predicted from prior years, representatives at the event revealed a total amount of $24,137 raised, and over $4,000 raised on Saturday alone.
Many sponsors were in attendance, including Dutch Bros. who served commentary energy drinks to help keep participants energized. There were dance breaks through out the day were participants could eat snacks and meet the children whom were in attendance on behalf of the Children’s Miracle Network.
