Oregon’s Jessica Moore – Big Time Pitcher From a Small Time Town

When her collegiate career comes to an end in the next couple of weeks, Jessica Moore will go down as one of the best softball players in the history of the Oregon program. If not the best overall player, then certainly the best pitcher: Moore leads the Ducks all-time in wins (100), strikeouts (915), appearances (176) and innings pitched (903). She has been the face of Mike White’s program during its rise to national prominence, as the Ducks have qualified for the NCAA super regionals in all four years of her Oregon career.

While she has shined bright in the national spotlight throughout her time in Eugene, making the transition from her home town of Sutter, California to one of the biggest stages in all of college softball was no easy transition.

Preston Hiefield has the story.
