The monsoon died down and ironically enough so did the touchdowns in the second quarter, as Oregon heads into the half up 41-3.
A pretty sloppy game which included 8 first quarter fumbles and a botched PAT hold garnered many “oohs” and “ahhs” from those who remained in attendance. Impressively enough, I’d say about 90% of the crowd stayed in their seats until the waning minutes of the second quarter. Overall, Oregon looks dominant and Cal looks like they would rather stay in their locker room instead of playing a second half of football.
One final point to keep in mind: when no. 4 Ohio State played Cal in Berkley back on Sept. 14, the Buckeyes held an 11 point lead after two quarters. The Ducks? Well, they’re up 38.
