Study Habits

Researchers have recently confirmed that sleeping after you study benefits overall recollection of material. University of Oregon’s own Dr. Catrin Rode, a professor of psychology, agrees with these findings and offers students some other tips for studying, just in time for midterms. She notes that the most important study habit is to avoid cramming in one session. While the common habit of simply reviewing notes and slides is beneficial, Dr. Rode encourages actively testing yourself. “I encourage everyone to review less, and recall more,” she remarks. Add these tips to your study skills and your midterms will thank you.
