Students and faculty are making an effort to go green this Earth Week. In hopes to reduce five thousand paper cups in one year, the EMU is introducing a new fifty-cent tax for each paper cup consumedby customers. For those that bring in their own mug, fifty cents will be subtracted from their drink’s cost in order to encourage eco-friendly habits.

As the Buzz makes an effort to go green, you can too with this week’s ECOchallenge. Now in it’s second year, ECOchallenge asks participants to practice one Earth-friendly action of choice this week. You can register online now at http://uoecochallenge.org/. Earth Week goes until this Sunday April 22nd, but this is only the beginning of incorporating green actions into your life!
