Eugene, Ore. –
A recent study from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention has found that 99.1% of women have used contraceptives; this number has increased largely from the 98.2% of woman in 2002. There are many different forms of contraceptives; however, 89% of women currently use the birth control pill. The University of Oregon Health Center currently offers students birth control methods such as male and female condoms, for free, and emergency contraceptives like “Plan B” for a very low cost. With all of the different forms of contraceptives, the nation is seeing teen birth and teen abortion rates increasingly decline. Stop by the UO Health Center with any questions concerning sexual activity and/or birth control methods.
