Eugene, Ore. The New Allen Hall Grand Opening Ceremony was held this past Friday. Special guests, faculty and students filled the the Ted M. Natt 1st Amendment Plaza and watched University of Oregon Michael Gottfredson and School of Journalism and Communication Tim Gleason welcome all to the renovated Allen Hall. High-profile donors were on-hand as they were led through the building on tours by SOJC student/tour guides, and later attended a dinner hosted by the SOJC.

SOJC student organizations that included FLUX, Envision, Ethos, among many others were stationed throughout the building and presented mini demonstrations about their respective publication to guests. Guests could use the Twitter hashtag #allenhallgo to share their thoughts. According to guests using the hashtag, the grand opening was a success.
