Eugene, Ore.
The Dalai Lama will be coming to Eugene on May 10th. He is the 14th Dalai Lama in the Buddhist doctrine and is considered as a manifestation of an idol of compassion.
The Buddhist monk has written more than 70 books and also won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1989. He will be traveling in Oregon for 3 days, making a stop in Portland for an array of events, including an Environmental Summit.
During his first ever stay in Eugene, however, he will hold a lecture titled “The Path to Peace and Happiness in the Global Society”. His speech will be held at Matthew Knight Arena and ticket information is soon to be released.
