The UO geography department has just completed the first atlas ever made for the Yellowstone national park. It took the department 9 years, 30 cartographers, and about 100 park experts to complete. The atlas contains over 800 graphs and maps of the park and surrounding areas. The Yellowstone Park Foundation took an interest in the idea and was able to partly fund the project over the years. The atlas is on sale in the duck store now. In addition, there will be a public showing on May 31st in the Knight library.
