uncovered surrounding one of the campaign teams. Although general elections were
set to begin last week, it was revealed that members of the Katie & Alex campaign
had engaged in corrupt behavior during the first stage of the elections. According
to recent reports, personnel from the Katie & Alex campaign team set up a phishing
site to steal contact information from Lamar Wise’s email account. Other campaign
teams have also come forward issuing statements that they were victims of similar
activity.

Students on campus have a general consensus of disappointment and shock as
a result of this ASUO scandal. The twist in this election has surfaced students’
opinions on the ASUO, such as the legitimacy of student elections. Voting has been
rescheduled for Week 4, with Katie & Alex being removed from the ballot and Ben &
Lamar being back on the ticket.
