One of Duck TV’s points of pride is its method of recording music for segments. Think background noise during rolling credits, or lively intros to sports briefs–important, necessary stuff that sticks in your head but is easily overlooked.

Combine the small team of composers that was hired at the beginning of the term with some contacted-at-the-last-minute School of Music students and you have a legitimate orchestra providing instrumental sound for episodes.

Last Saturday, a bunch of these people gathered at the Don Ross Productions recording studio to assemble tracks. Some chaos and long hours aside–who knew recording 30 seconds of music would take 30 minutes?–the end results are pretty awesome.
